Truly Exciting Times.

Atlanta is and forever will be my home. Some of you might remember the post I did back in the fall about my home and the house I grew up in. Well, the times, they are a changin'. In Decemeber, when Turner and I marry, we will start our own home in Dothan, and I pray that it is everything that my childhood home was, filled with just as much love and memories :) I am so lucky that I will have someone as supportive and unconditionally loving as Turner, as well as his sweet family, to help me make the BIG transition. I am so looking forward to everything the future has in store for us.
Turner has bought the most adorable (not so) little house and I am SO SO SO excited to start making it "our home." It is a brick house that has been painted yellow, with a front porch, circular drive way, yard full of azaleas and the most wonderful back porch and backyard perfect for hosting get-togethers with friends.
This weekend, we bought our first pieces of furniture! We got an adorable breakfast room table from Ballard's Backroom, distressed white with 4 chairs that have woven seats. I plan on having a bench on one side of the table, two chairs on one side, and chair on each end. Very excited. We also got a bed that Turner and I have had our eye for a while now- the Ashby sleigh bed from Pottery Barn (king sized, rustic mahogany:) I can't wait to see how it looks in the house. Lastly, we decided on a classic slip-covered couch from Pottery Barn as well in a neutral color. My next step is picking out paint colors this week! In between all of this and planning a wedding, I have been one busy girl!
I am headed down to Dothan next week to help Turner start getting settled in his/"our" new house...I will be sure to snap a few pictures while I am there.
I am so excited about all the changes that are ahead of me...there are quite a few of them from jobs to moving to a new place to being MARRIED but I honestly cannot find the words to tell ya'll how lucky I feel to have Turner by my side through all of this. These are the days we will always remember and I am trying to cherish every minute of them :) Truly exciting times.

Words Cannot Describe...

how excited I am to finally be able to officially say that I get to spend the rest of my life with Turner Jones! He surpised me last Thursday night with the most beautiful ring I could have ever imagined, that he picked out himself might I add :) And we are beyond thrilled. We are very excited about a winter wedding, I have always wanted to get married at Christmas time. We spent a wonderful wknd in St. Simons Island, Georgia and got to celebrate with good friends. We are both so happy and look forward to what the future has in store for us and the many, many memories to come!

Ashley and Charlie's Wedding Weekend

The weekend we've all been anticipating for 8 months finally came and went...too fast. We had SO. MUCH. FUN. The whole weekend was a blast, starting with a bridal luncheon for Ashley at my parents house Friday morning. The weekend was a whirlwind but it was so much and everything at every party looked gorgeous!
The Rehearsal dinner was at the Cherokee Country Club.
Ashley with my parents and Charlie's parents.
I only took a few pictures at the church.
Ashley with Frankie.
My mom and Charlie's mom before the wedding.
And finally the reception!

Everything went perfect and I think everyone had a really good time. The band was a huge hit!! I recommend "The Compositionzz" to anyone who wants to have a good time and dance the night away! I mean people got on the dance floor during the first song around 8 and did not leave until the band stopped at 12! Awesome Mo-town band! Wish I had a picture of them in their white suits!
Now I am trying to recover to go back to work tonight for the first time in a week, and I'm still struggling. On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to my suprise out-of-town trip that Turner is taking me on next weekend! I have no idea where we are going and I am so excited!

Have a great week everyone!

Drum Roll please....(Griswold style)

Just wanted to pop in and show everyone a picture of us at Turner's new house!

He is thrilled, to say the least, and so am I! I am so proud of him and can't wait to get in there in June and let the decorating begin!!

I just had to get the picture of him beside the sign (except now the sign says UNDER contract! YAY!).

Back with more pictures later- hope everyone had a wonderful weekend:)

Last Fling Before the Ring

We celebrated Ashley's Bachelorette Party this weekend with the girls and it was a blast! It was a super cute day and we all enjoyed Ashley's "last fling." We stayed in Atlanta and started the day early Saturday and stayed in a hotel in Buckhead for the night and planned a day and night of fun activities!

Invitations to the Bash-

We started with manicures, pedicures, appetizers and champagne punch (very tasty:) at Sugarcoat Nail Salon (which is ADORABLE by the way)-

I am absolutely in love with all the pink and green decorations and Caroline did such a great job with the cupcakes. She got cupcakes with white frosting and sparkles from Henri's Bakery and added the pink pom-pom cupcake toppers from Etsy.

Afterwards, we got ready and went out to one of Ashley's favorite sushi restaurant where we ate, drank and played some funny Bachelorette games. Then we made our way to the Speakeasy Prohibition and ended the night twisting the night away at Johnny's (literally, twisting.)

Some of the girls before dinner-

Ashley dialing the secret number to get us into Prohibition-

The cute party favors were monogrammed stadium cups and wedding dress cookies-

And the cute and wonderful smelling hostess gift that my sister got for me-

Champagne Punch recipe-
1 can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
1 can frozen white grape raspeberry concentrate
half of a can of sprite
2 bottles Spumante champagne

Cheers to a wonderful weekend of friends and fun and celebrating weddings! The wedding is in 3 weeks and we are all very excited! The next 3 weeks sure will be crazyyyy around here!
